Children’s Visitors

For children and young people, the death of a parent, grand-parent, brother, sister, another close family member or friend can be devastating. The world can suddenly seem a lonely and scary place. While no-one can take away the loss and pain, how a child grieves can have a big impact on their immediate and long-term future. Helping them adjust and settle back into routines at home and with their school can avoid potential difficulties with concentration, behaviour and poor attendance.

Children and young people are often seen in their school, with the permission of the Headteacher and in consultation with the Inclusion Manager.
